Welcome, Akash Patel, MD
Dr. Patel earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from The College of New Jersey, graduating Cum Laude as a TCNJ Honors Scholar, and received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Boston University Medical Center, where he was selected to serve as Chief Medical Resident. He then completed both his General Cardiology Fellowship and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, serving as Chief Interventional Cardiology Fellow during his advanced training.
Throughout his career, Dr. Patel has demonstrated a strong commitment to clinical excellence, medical education, leadership, and research. His academic work has focused on cardiovascular disease, cardiac amyloidosis, vascular medicine, and quality improvement initiatives. In addition, he has held numerous teaching and leadership roles, mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows while contributing to advancements in patient care and physician education.
Dr. Patel is board certified in Internal Medicine and holds certifications in Nuclear Cardiology and Adult Echocardiography.
