Keval Patel, M.D.
Dr. Keval V. Patel is a board-certified cardiologist and the Director of Cardio-Oncology at Monmouth Cardiology Associates. A New York City native, he earned his bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Genetics from Stony Brook University before completing his medical education at the American University of Antigua. He subsequently trained in internal medicine at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he distinguished himself as Chief Resident, and went on to complete a comprehensive fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Rutgers–Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Dr. Patel is among the select physicians nationally who are board certified in Cardio-Oncology, in addition to holding board certifications in general cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. This advanced credential reflects his leadership and expertise in the complex cardiovascular care of patients undergoing cancer therapy. His clinical interests include preventive cardiology, cardio-oncology, congestive heart failure, and valvular and ischemic heart disease, all approached with a personalized, evidence-based, and holistic philosophy.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Patel is a dedicated educator who mentors internal medicine residents, pharmacy residents, medical students, and nurses. As the coordinator for clinical cardiology for internal medicine residents, he plays a significant role in shaping medical education and training. He has contributed extensively to research and quality improvement initiatives, and his work in advancing cardiovascular medicine has earned him recognition as a Top Doctor in New Jersey for multiple consecutive years.
Since 2018, Dr. Patel has served as an attending physician at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Saint Peter’s University Hospital, Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center, and Riverview Medical Center, and he collaborates closely with Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Known for his compassion, clinical excellence, and commitment to advancing cardiovascular care, Dr. Keval V.
