We are pleased to announce that Dr. Daniel Kiss will join the Structural Heart Team of Physicians at Monmouth Cardiology Associates, LLC on July 1, 2019.
A bit about Dr. Kiss -
Daniel H. Kiss, MD earned his degree in biology and liberal studies from University of Delaware and his medical doctorate from Thomas Jefferson Medical College, where he graduated magna cum laude. He went on to complete internal medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Following his training in internal medicine, he was appointed chief resident with a faculty appointment at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his general cardiology fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was recognized as a chief fellow. He then remained at Penn to complete subspecialty training in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease. He has authored scientific articles on the topics of calcific aortic stenosis, percutaneous coronary interventions, genetics of coronary artery disease, and management of valvular heart disease. He has given numerous invited talks and presentations at national meetings, and has been recognized for his passion for teaching at the resident and fellow level.
Dr. Kiss specializes in minimally invasive therapies for the treatment of valvular and structural heart disease. These include transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter mitral valve repair (MItraClip), closure of patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defect, transcatheter valve in valve therapy, paravalvular leak closure, and alcohol septal ablation. He is interested in the intersection of peripheral vascular disease and valvular heart disease, and comprehensive care of the structural heart disease patient. He is also trained in the most advanced techniques for the treatment and management of coronary artery disease, pulmonary embolism and cardiogenic shock.
He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also board certified in Adult Echocardiography and board eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
