Michael A. Wappel, MD, FACC
Dr. Michael Wappel began his education at The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C. He earned a Master of Science degree in Physiology at the University of Illinois, and graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
He completed postgraduate Residency training in Internal Medicine and Fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Wappel was a full-time Attending Cardiologist at Deborah Heart and Lung Center for seven years, then was in private practice in South Carolina for nine years before returning to New Jersey. He is an Attending Physician at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
Dr. Wappel is an Interventional Cardiologist. He is Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Diseases, Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and Board Certified in Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Wappel is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
